Acknowledgement of                         ‘Made in England’

The music ‘Made in England’ presented here and it’s rendition, are by Paul Abbott and the Young Innovative Citizens, Paul stimulated in his Bolton Technical Innovation Centre, Farnworth, Lancashire, UK, which was funded by the North West Development Agency. Many of these young citizens learned to have the skills and confidence to develop their own innovative destinies, following the principles mentioned in this proposal and have gone on to be successful inventors in their own right.

This is yet another case study of best Citizens Enablement practice.

This work strives to be an epitath to Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks & acts as a conclusion to our work

In his wonderful recent book, published just before his death in 2020, and entitled “Morality: Restoring the Common Good in Divided Times”, Jonathan Sacks says rightly that ‘it is people not like us who make us grow’ and that we need to create a new ‘climate of cultural change’. He goes on to say much of the problem is that society now seems to concentrate on ‘I’, rather than ‘We”, and that we need to help citizens and communities return to a more inclusive society. If we tried to summaries the previous ideas and proposals presented here, this would be an excellent driver for our Citizens Enablement. In particular, we believe that after Covid 19, academics have the capabilities to enable citizens’ self-learning in order to empower them to achieve more for themselves. Those in current need must learn how to  collectively own their problems and issues, and by practical means, to embrace them for all  communities & enact solutions that work for “We”. The innovative capabilities of both academics and citizens can be combined to solve almost any issue facing a community. So, we think Jonathan Sacks would welcome our approach and hope it satisfies his aspirations for a new morality.

In conclusion, in Jonathan Sacks words ‘The world needs more civility’. His affirmation, with which we absolutely agree, is that ‘the problems of some are the problems of all, and that a good society accepts a collective responsibility to everything we do….We speak to one another because we are bound to one another in a shared enterprise in which we each have a part to play.’ Citizens Enablement we hope will help provide the drive and support for us to work together in harmony and for the good of all.
